General Fund at Bethesda Home (Goessel, KS)

Bethesda Home was founded in 1899 as the first Mennonite health care facility west of the Mississippi River and it still serves a multi-state population as the facility of choice for many families today desiring long-term care.

Over the past 106 years Bethesda has grown to provide a full continuum of residential care:  29 Independent Living units; 10 Assisted Living apartments; and 53 private and 2 double occupancy Medicare/Medicaid Certified, licensed Nursing Care rooms including a 12-room Special Care unit.

Bethesda Home is the largest employer in the Goessel community with approximately 100 employees and an active corps of over 50 volunteers.  Bethesda’s stability and vitality is crucial to the well-being of this small rural community and its schools.
