Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary serves the church as a learning community with an Anabaptist vision, educating followers of Jesus Christ to be leaders for God’s reconciling mission in the world.
Academics
Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary programs prepare students to serve the church as pastors, missionaries, preachers, teachers, evangelists, and other leaders. The Bible is the core of the curriculum, with additional emphases in mission and evangelism, practical skills of ministry such as preaching and pastoral care, church history, peace and justice, theology and ethics, Christian spirituality, and Christian education. We offer five graduate degrees and a certificate program. In addition, two dual-degree programs are offered together with Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Accreditation
The degree programs of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary are fully accredited by the Association of Theological Schools. AMBS is also accredited by the Commission on Institutions of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Extensive Library Resources
Our collection includes more than 110,000 books, about 500 journal subscriptions, several thousand audiovisual items, and an increasing number of digital multimedia items. Many of our services are online via the Library Section of our website.
Special Programs & Institutes
AMBS programs serve more than those students who are pursuing a masters degree in ministry or theological studies. AMBS also serves: pastors who seek renewal and refreshment for their ministry; pastors called to ministry who do not have an undergraduate degree; youth exploring whether ministry and seminary study is in their future; mission workers preparing for specialized ministries in other parts of the world; all in the church who are looking for resources from AMBS faculty for their vocations and their personal enrichment.
